BITTERWELL SPIRIT & JILL KENT
EnduranceGB Advanced Rider & Horse Combination
Bitterwell Spirit (El Crysto – Shadeeka) is a 92% Pure Bred Crabbet gelding was born on 13th June 1994.
In 2007 Spirit competed at FEI international level, and in 2008 travelled with the EnduranceGB British Senior Development Team to compete in FEI 2* 119km ride at Sangatte, near Calais, France in April, where we came 6th.
In May 2008 we successfully completed the Dukeries FEI 3* 160km in 7th place and we were asked to join the EnduranceGB Senior British Team.
Having now qualified for the British team we spent 2009 training for possible selection for the European Championships in Italy in 2009, and the World Championships in Kentucky in 2010. We successfully completed Cirencester Park FEI 3* 160km in 2nd place, despite a crashing fall at 60 kilometres!
In 2010 Spirit is now 16, and has been withdrawn from the British Team List so will no longer be competing at FEI level. However we continue to compete at national level, and we are determined to eventually complete Golden HorseShoe before Spirit retires!
Bitterwell Spirit was EnduranceGB Supreme National Champion 2006
2006 really saw the results of my time and patience with this very talented horse. – see a résumé of our results
